When I first wrote the best seller, The Black Woman’s
Declaration of Independence, I was so afraid to stand in
my power. I was so afraid of what the world might think of
me. I was so afraid that maybe I wasn't enough.
After years of being mistreated in corporate America, after
years of being misunderstood, after decades, after a
lifetime of being misunderstood about a society afraid of
our lives as black women, I summoned the courage to be a
stand for Every Black Woman on her journey to Greatness.
And as black women have always done, we will overcome
every obstacle, do the impossible and continue to be a
foundation for our families. This book, this event and the
soon to be released documentary, is a celebration of every
black woman out there doing her thing.
I love you, I appreciate you, I honor your purpose and this
event is dedicated to you.
Welcome to the family. To me you are just the sister I
haven't met yet. #ItsTimeToConnect
Love Your Black Sister,
